05.30am : Pick up from Kota Kinabalu meeting point and transfer directly to Beaufort Railway Station. The journey takes approximately 2 hours.

07.00am - 07.30am : Expected time of arrival at Beaufort town.

07.40am : Tour begins with a train ride to the starting point, known as Pangi (1.5 to 2 hours’ ride). The train will make a brief stop (5 to 10 minutes) midway at Halogilat Station for luggage drop off and transfer to the Tenom train. Guests can change their clothes at this point if needed, but are advised to be readily dressed upon pick up.

10.30am : Expected time of arrival at Pangi Station. A safety briefing session will be conducted by our professional river guide/raft master.

11.00am : Experience the ultimate outdoor challenge as you encounter the grade III & IV white water rapids until you finally arrive at the end point known as Rayoh Station (approximately 1.5 to 2 hours of splashing fun). * Note: The rapid levels and duration of the ride are dependent on water level conditions.

01.30pm : Buffet lunch will be served at Rayoh Station.

02.30pm : Board the train back to Beaufort Railway Station (1.5 to 2 hours’ ride).

04.00pm : Upon arrival at the Beaufort Railway Station, freshen up and get changed before boarding our coach for your transfer back to Kota Kinabalu.

06.00pm : Estimated time of arrival at Kota Kinabalu city for transfer back to meeting point.

*Important Note: Times stated above are estimates only and the itinerary is subject to change from time to time without prior notice depending on weather conditions, train schedules, rail conditions and are subject to unforeseen circumstances. We do not recommend catching a flight immediately after arrival back to Kota Kinabalu, as delays are common with the train schedules in this area.

Description

Our Padas White Water Rafting activity is sure to offer you an exciting day with a guaranteed adrenaline rush (or a few!). With a trail that stretches about 9km long, this excursion takes about 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the rapids and river conditions. You will be accompanied by a certified river guide the entire time. Padas Water Rafting is labelled grade III to IV and is said to have some of the best rapids in South East Asia. Power through 7 challenging rapids before reaching the end point. The fancy names – Merry-Go-Round Rapid, Break Point Rapid, Scooby Doo Rapid, Cobra Rapid, Curve Rapid, Lambada Rapid and Head Hunter Rapid; may give you an idea of what to expect!

This trip is not just about the rafting, as a large part of your day will be spent travelling to/from the site. Take a step away from urban living as you board old trains to get to the starting point, which is only accessible via railway. We assure you it’ll be a day to remember.
